The new cycle path bridge leads as an urban sculpture through the urban and landscape space of Landau. The aesthetics of the transparent truss construction is consistently continued in the design of the support and bearing structures, so that perspective condensations and vistas alternate in terms of urban space.The independent warm-yellow shimmering color scheme underlines this character.
The driving and walking surface, including the accompanying guardrail, is detached from the actual bridge structure, so that one moves within the truss construction as if in an inner shell. The use of gratings for the road surface and the fall protection for pedestrians maintains the openness and transparency in all directions.
