netzwerkarchitekten provides professional services in the fields of architecture, urban development, and design.

Founded in 1997 by Thilo Höhne, Karim Scharabi, Philipp Schiffer, Jochen Schuh, Markus Schwieger and Oliver Witan, it is now one of Germany’s prominent architectural firms.

netzwerkarchitekten’s projects include a wide spectrum, ranging from residential construction to cultural buildings, from sacred buildings to transport buildings, from exhibition stands to research and educational institutions.

In addition to direct commissions, netzwerkarchitekten successfully participates in many open and invited competitions, as well as in review procedures. The resulting projects have received many prestigious awards and architectural prizes. With the “Tausendfüßler” bridge in Oberhausen, completed in 1999 as part of the IBA Emscher Park, the netzwerkarchitekten achieved recognition throughout Germany for the first time. Other impressive examples of the office’s diversity and success are the Thomasgemeinde community center in Mannheim/Neuhermsheim, the Überseequartier HafenCity Hamburg underground station, the Gries-Deco-Company logistics center in Niedernberg, and the six underground stations on the Wehrhahn line in Dusseldorf.
