The companies BauNetz, Bauverlag, Heinze and ibau joined together for the first time under the inclusive logo “Springer BauMedien” for the exhibition at BAU 2005 in Munich. The client wanted a unique, unconventional exhibit space for the exposed location in the Main Entrance Hall.
The exhibit space is defined and unified under a hoovering volume. An airy ‘light canopy’ is floating two meters above ground, consist-ing of metal-vaporized foil suspended from a rectangular cluster of helium-filled balloons.
The individual brands are identified at circular display counters grouped around the common platform. Two large circles each have a table with seating for use by the exhibitors and trade fair visi-tors.
Spotlights use changing color filters to project light from the counters onto the silvery, shimmering foil, creating different light atmospheres which further immerse visitors and maintain focus within the space.
