The new bridge provides a direct connection between Ravensburg’s eastern town and the city centre without requiring additional paths in the sensitive natural areas of the slopes. The centre of the bridge is located directly above Wangener Straße and clearly marks the entrance to the town with the distinctive cross of supports. This effect is reinforced by the trough walls, which decrease in height at the ends of the span. An elegant overall view is created above Wangener Straße and a wide-ranging view for the user.
